"FingerPro"
Fingerprint
Transmission System
by
Automation Designs & Solutions, Inc.
“FingerPro”
Fingerprint Transmission System
provides a
low cost, high quality solution to the problem of delivery of fingerprint
cards to Mississippi Criminal Information
Center
(MCIC)
and subsequently to the FBI for a fingerprint background check. And it’s
all possible with an inexpensive scanner and FTS
software by AD&S
that has been certified by the FBI and MCIC. FTS
is fully compliant with all ANSI/NIST requirements.
“FingerPro”
FTS
is a pc-based workstation that is designed to accommodate demographic data
entry, scan the applicant’s fingerprint card, create the transaction
file, electronically transmit it to the FBI through Mississippi Criminal
Information Center (MCIC, a division of the Mississippi Public Safety
Patrol), and automatically download responses from the FBI and MCIC.
“FingerPro”
FTS
is designed for three types of transactions: arrest (criminal) cards,
applicant cards, and DOC (Department of Corrections) cards.
"FingerPro"
FTS features
·
Fast textual and image data input (2-3
minutes per one ten-print card)
·

fulfill all of the printing job)
·
“One click” automatic printing of all
output documents to several printer trays simultaneously (stationary,
plain paper, envelopes, etc.)
·
Secure access to the system
·

Installation
of “FingerPro”
FTS system in the Mississippi State Department of Health
cut submission and response time from approximately 12
WEEKS to approximately 3 HOURS.
Below are shown some sample screens of the
"FingerPro" FTS user interface.
The login screen provides
access security. User names
and passwords are assigned by the System Administrator with rights
allocated accordingly.

The
system has a user-friendly design. In the main user interface all data can
be edited and revised at any stage. Also, many dates and demographic data
can be specified to filter the list of records in the main user interface.
Before a case is closed by the system, the record passes through several
stages to input textual and image data, create and submit transaction
file, check responses, print letters to an applicant and to a facility,
and to finalize the case. With just one click the operator can begin all
these procedures.

The
interface for textual data input provides help screens, defaults, lookup
lists, etc. to simplify the input procedure. For the user’s convenience
all textual data is separated into tabs with case related data and
personal data as shown below.

In the
textual data input screen the operator has several options to proceed: 1)
save data, 2) go to scanning interface, 3) start a new card without having
to exit to the main interface, or 4) exit to the main interface (with or
without saving data changes).

After
scanning, a preview of the scanned image is provided. The operator can
re-locate the grid to find the best correlation between the grid and
fingerprint boxes on the FBI standard ten-print card.

Other
features provide optional storage of prints for re-submission when
necessary, status updates, responses analyzer, printing letters, and much
more.
The
user manual provides samples of many of the screens including letters that
are automatically generated. The system administrator’s rights include
configuration of communication settings, management of users, updating
lookup tables in accordance with the MCIC current version, etc.

We hope you will enjoy the simplicity and the convenience of operations in
FingerPro
FTS!
Sincerely,
